Buy Local - Support Our Farmers

At the Hall Hunger Initiative, our goal is to build a just and equitable food system that works for everyone. A key component of any healthy food system are thriving local growers. With many farmers' markets and local restaurants shuttered because of the pandemic, this year has been tougher than usual for them.

You can help and get some delicious food by shopping at Five Rivers MetroParks Second Street Market, 600 E. Second St. downtown Dayton. They're open Saturdays, 9 AM to 1 PM, the first 30 minutes (9 to 9:30 AM) will be reserved for vulnerable populations only (those ages 65+ and those with compromised immune systems).

You can also support 2nd Street Market vendors with online sales. You can find their list of vendors and more details here and get updates on their Facebook page.
