Updated: May 29
Today is Memorial Day, please join the Hall Hunger Initiative by honoring the sacrifice and dedication of our fallen heroes and their families. Remember, "Freedom isn't free."
Thousand of veterans struggling to feed their families depend on SNAP ( the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program formerly known as food stamps). For low-income veterans, who may be unemployed, working in low-wage jobs, or have disabilities, SNAP provides essential support that enables them to purchase nutritious food for their families. There are more than 50,000 veterans receiving SNAP in Ohio. In every state, thousands of low-income veterans use SNAP to help put food on the table.
